Mehran Cattle Farm is run by the Sodagar family at Plot 74-75, Karachi Cattle and Dairy City, the farming estate opposite Bahria Town Karachi. The farm raises bulls for Qurbani, shows them at the DALFA Cattle Show and posts every season on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, so buyers can see the animal before they ever call.
How the animals are raised
Animals come to the farm young and are raised on a set feed routine. Weight is tracked, coats are groomed for the show ring and the temperament is known by the time a buyer meets them.
Named, coded, filmed
Jasper, Midnight, Kala Shah, Danzu, Zeyba, Bravo, Maharaja: every headline animal has a name, a code and a video. It makes the conversation on WhatsApp simple: send the name, get the facts.
Part of DALFA
The farm is a member of the Dairy Agriculture Livestock Farmers Association and has shown at the DALFA Cattle Show for three seasons. Jasper's beauty award came from that ring.
